In World Around Us, P6 are learning about space. We connected our learning with Art and looked at the artist, Peter Thorpe. Peter is a life long space fan who has a love for space exploration, space science and science fiction. He paints abstract backgrounds on blank card / canvases with left over paint from other commercial jobs. Then he draws rockets and planets on top of the backgrounds.
We used Peter’s work as a stimulus for our paintings - I think we have some budding space artists in P6!
