Assembly 18.12.24
We had our last assembly of 2024 today.
We reflected on advent and lit our fourth candle ahead of Christmas. The themes of advent have been hope, peace, joy and love. We have really brought hope, peace, joy and love into our school this month and we have had loads to celebrate.
Aralynn and Adam from P7 went to St. Louis last week for a technology competition. They were tasked with designing a vehicle to carry an egg without it breaking. Adam and Aralynn won this competition ahead of many other schools taking part. Well done for showing your skills and ingenuity!
This week we’ve been holding a competition for the best Christmas jumper design in each class. We announced our winners at assembly today and they all won a selection box and some art supplies. Congratulations everyone.
Some of the children also entered an art competition to design a Christmas Card for the St. Patrick’s centre in Downpatrick. We were delighted to hear that Polly in P2 won the KS1 entry. Amazing work Polly - she even won herself a £120 voucher.
We also celebrated our pupils and stars of the week, and it was evident that a lot of boys and girls have been working very hard in class. Well done to all!
We brought up all of our December birthday boys and girls today. We hope you all have a brilliant birthday.
