Everyone is Branching out in Carnacaville.
All of the pupils in Carnacaville, from the youngest Reception child to the eldest Primary Seven pupil have been planting trees around the new school grounds. Even the teachers and all of the staff have been putting their green fingers to good use. Everyone invested fifteen minutes of their day but the net result will last for numerous years. The children were amused by the idea that they could come back to their school as older adults and be able to show their children or grandchildren the fruits of their labour. The School Eco committee and Mrs Brennan were successful in obtaining over two hundred saplings from the Woodland Trust. David Bell from the Woodland Trust kindly loaned us lots of spades and Mr Knight's Primary Seven children assisted the younger boys and girls plant their trees. Well done to all our young and perhaps not so young but enthusiastic tree planters.
