On Thursday 7th October; the boys and girls from Reception, P1, P2, P3 and P4 got a very special visit from NI Fire and Rescue Service to celebrate Fire Prevention Week!
Firefighters Darren and Emma showed the children around the fire engine and highlighted some simple ways in which they could help prevent fires!
The children were reminded of the emergency services telephone number '999' and the importance of getting an adult at home to check their smoke alarm each week.
St. Joseph's looks forward to welcoming Darren and Emma back to speak to the P5, P6 and P7 classes before Halloween, making sure all the children are prepared for a safe Halloween break!
