Mr Knight's class visit Daisy Lodge.
Recently Daisy Lodge invited the children from Primary Seven to visit their excellent facilities in recognition of Carnacaville's contribution to their fund raising efforts. Back in June we held a "Hats and Shades Day," organised by Mrs Doyle, to raise the children's awareness of the dangers of not taking adequate protection against direct sunlight. During this event we raised money which was donated to Daisy Lodge. The Primary Seven pupils were treated to a drumming session with a professional percussionist and a tour of the facilities at Daisy Lodge. These included junior and senior children's play rooms, a sauna and treatment suite, a fitness suite and luxury ensuite bedrooms. There were opportunities for photos with Rory McElroy's golf bag before lunch in the dining area. The children had a fantastic day and were most impressed with the facilities available. They learned a lot about the level of service available to those families who would benefit from a break there, due to one of their family members being very ill. Primary Seven pupil Lily Toland raised over £300 for Daisy Lodge over the summer by selling sweets from her own driveway. Well done to Lily and all of the Primary Sevens.
