Once again this year the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce are organising The Hallowtides Community Parade and have asked us to participate.
All pupils and parents are encouraged to dress up and join the parade and walk the route under our school banner.
- The Parade will assemble in the car park of The Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle from 5.00pm, and will proceed at 6.30pm sharp along Railway Street and down the length of Newcastle Main Street.
- To get to the Parade assembly area walking participants can park in the Downs Road car park (adjacent to the Slieve Donard Hotel) or the Mourne Golf Club car park (parents of school children only) and make their way into the car park of The Slieve Donard Hotel.
- Please do not attempt to park in the grounds of the Slieve Donard. Only vehicles partaking in the parade should enter the grounds.
- On arrival at the assembly area, Parade participants should safely make their way to their Parade position
- A dedicated assembly area for each school will be identified. Please speak to any of the stewards on duty.
Participants can park in the Downs Road car park (adjacent to the Slieve Donard Hotel) or the Mourne Golf Club car park and make their way into the car park of The Slieve Donard Hotel.

I would ask that all children are accompanied by a responsible adult and that they remain with the children until the end of the parade.
Staff will be at the parade to represent the school and will not be responsible for the children.
