NSPCC "Speak out. Stay safe." Buddy Campaign.
The NSPCC - a team of specially trained staff/volunteers- along with Buddy the schools mascot - visited our school in April to share important messages in a fun and interactive way.
All classes participated in the NSPCC "Speak Out. Stay Safe." Buddy campaign helping our pupils
- to understand what abuse is
- to know what to do if feeling worried or anxious
- to always speak to a trusted adult or call Childline 0800 1111
We want all your children to be safe and happy and to know where to get support if help is needed.
In return, as children helping other children, all pupils took part in the non-stop Run-A-Mile Challenge to raise funds for the NSPCC.
We presented a cheque for £2040-16 to Grainne from the NSPCC on Friday 21st June at Assembly. She was delighted at such an amazing amount and very happy that we remembered all Buddy's safe messages.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored us and to Mr Knight who organised the Run-A-Mile Challenge.
