Ahoy, me hearties!
The girls and boys in Primary Four had a swashbuckling time celebrating International Talk Like a Pirate Day in our Pirate School. They found out their pirate names and enjoyed some Pirate PE. They also learned how to talk like pirates and had lots of fun role playing a pirate conversation for the class. Yo ho ho!
After lunch it was time to learn about a new type of writing; procedural writing. The P4 pirate crew were all able to identify the main features of this writing genre and, shiver me timbers, they even followed instructions to make their own trendy pirate hats.
Then it was time for a spot of pirate numeracy before home. Arrrrgh!
A big Thank You! to all the adults at home for your support. I was overwhelmed by the huge effort everyone had gone to and it made the day extra special for the children.
