Reception Class have been learning about the roles of nurses and doctors in our community. They had fun finding out about bones and x-rays, putting bandages on each other, giving injections, writing prescriptions and listening to one another’s heartbeats with stethoscopes. The importance of looking after our bodies by eating healthy food and taking regular exercise was also explored. A big “Thank you” to Nurse Flynn for visiting our class to talk about her job and demonstrate medical equipment. She even enjoyed getting a medical check-up herself and went home feeling on top of the world!
