During the first term the Primary six children will visit the Newcastle Library three times as part of our Literacy Programme of developing the children's confidence in selecting and reading a variety of printed material. The children will explore how the books are organised within the Library's Fiction, Nonfiction and Reference sections. They will learn about what other services are available to them as members of the library and employ the "Five Finger Rule" in selecting the books the want to borrow and read.
