Reception Class enjoyed an exciting and very informative experience at the Ark Community Gardens. We started our visit with a singsong, sitting on hay bales and singing along to some of our favourite farm songs. After meeting Ned the donkey and Heidi the goat, we visited the chicken coop to feed the hens and collect eggs. Learning where our food comes from, the children observed vegetables growing in the polytunnel and later got to harvest some carrots! After dropping off the eggs in the Farm Shop, everyone enjoyed a snack and a surprise visit from some bunny rabbits. A big thank you to Rachel and all the team at the Ark Community Gardens for making our trip so memorable.
