The Primary 5 children took part in the Newry, Mourne and Down Road Safety Poster Competition. Each child had to draw a picture to highlight the importance of road safety, based on one of the following:-
1. The dangers of mobile phones in relation to road safety.
2. The importance of hi-visibility for all road users.
3. The importance of wearing a seat belt.
4. Why you need to Stop, Look and Listen when crossing a road.
We had two winners in the competition; Daisy Harty and Maya Eckersley.
There were over 910 entries and the top 12 entries were chosen as the winning posters. Each winner received a framed picture of their poster and a £10 voucher for The Quays Shopping Centre.
