SAVE OUR OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRES

The Education Authority is proposing to close 4 Outdoor Education Centres, Ardnabannon, Bushmills, Delamont and Killowen.  Our school uses many of the outdoor resources we are so lucky to have on our doorstep and have used these centres for various activities over the years and see them as an invaluable resource.  Outdoor education is an important aspect of the development of our young people, providing a unique learning experience benefiting from unique surroundings and experienced staff at the centres.   The closure of these centres will deprive generations of  young people from all that the centres offer. 

We are supporting the NIPSA petition to save the centres, and to this end ask all our parents to do the same.  The petition will be available in the school entrance from MONDAY 23rd January for you to sign if you wish to support the campaign.
