St. Joseph's Success at Dundrum Cricket Tournament
Over the past four weeks, the Primary 7 pupils have received expert training sessions from Terry and Stian from Dundrum Cricket Club. They really engaged the children and taught us the basics of cricket in a fun and enjoyable manner. Following their visits to our school, we were invited to take part in a finals day.
On a scorching hot Thursday morning, we headed to Dundrum Cricket Grounds where conditions could not have been better. Our children competed in three games each against pupils from Cumran Primary school and Sacred Heart Dundrum. After some very tight contests, our boys and girls were declared the winners.
The attitude and teamwork on display by our Primary 7 pupils was a joy to behold. It was a wonderfully well organised event and we were very grateful to Dundrum Cricket Club for inviting us along. A special mention must go to Stephen and David who organised the event and Terry and Stian who provided us with wonderful support over the past number of weeks. Lastly, a huge well done to this excellent group of Primary 7 pupils who have brought yet another piece of silverware back to our school.
