We have been fortunate to have been able to get some native broad leaf trees from Andrew Baird of the Woodland Trust. Every child that was in school on the day Andrew and Stevie arrived with the saplings was out assisting with the planting of trees around the perimeter fence of our school grounds. This all tied in very well with all the work that the Primary 5 pupils have been doing in relation to global warming and what we can do to help alleviate the effects of the greenhouse effect.
