P2 decided to turn the cold weather into a learning opportunity. We wanted to make ice decorations so we put water and natural materials (leaves, sticks etc) into small paint pallets and left them outside in the hope that they would freeze. We went back out the next day and they were still full with water - no ice! We decided that even though it felt cold, it must have been above 0 degrees. The next day, we were delighted to see some ice decorations - it was definitely freezing the night before!
