We have been learning about Mini-beasts in Reception Class. The children helped create an indoor 'Bug Hotel' and engaged in lots of art and craft activities linked to our topic. Taking a closer look at mini-beasts has provided opportunities to learn about how we care for other creatures and our environment, alongside opportunities for practical counting and sequencing activities. We've enjoyed finding out about mini-beasts through a variety of fiction and non-fiction books, and had lots of fun getting our wellington boots on to go outside and explore.
